THE MOST IMPORTANT THING BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR BIKE
THERE'S NO SUBSTITUTE FOR QUALITY
First we cut all 1" sections to total length of the handlebar.
Next we cut all 1-¼" sections for the CHUBBY® areas.
All of our Chubby® bars
start with 1" tubing. We knurl the center sections.
We slide 1-¼"
tubing over the top of the 1" tubing and fuse together with a tig welder.
(All
our CHUBBY® bars are made
with double wall construction)
Next we mill the wire holes
to keep the look as clean as possible.
Then all wire holes are de-burred to eliminate all sharp edges.
YOU
WANT CLEAN?
HERE YOU GO.
Then we add the notch for the electronic "fly by wire".
Then they go for a second polishing before bending.
Then they are sent out
for micro polishing before
the show chrome plating or powder coating
process is done.
THIS IS NOT HOW WE
DO IT.
Production chrome uses a conveyor
system that transports parts through
the facility and submerges parts in
baths with little quality control.
POWDER COAT
We use
a hot rod black powder coat.
We tried gloss but it scratches way to easily.
